Admissions
The Trustees welcome applications for admission to the Preparatory Department. In the event that there are more applicants than the number of available places, the preference for admission will be given in the following order:

Admission Criteria throughout the year
The Trustees welcome applications throughout the year from families who wish to transfer from another school.
The following procedures are followed in this instance
The Head of Preparatory Department, along with the Principal and Board of Governors if necessary, will consider the outcomes of the above and decide whether to offer a place to the applicant. The outcome of the application will be communicated to applicants in writing.
Preparatory Department
- Pupils who have attended The Wallace High School Pre Prep
- Pupils who have a brother or sister enrolled in the Preparatory Department.
- Pupils whose twin or triplet sibling(s) has (have) been admitted.
- Pupils whose parent(s) is/are currently in permanent employment in The Wallace High School.
- Pupils who have a brother or sister who attend The Wallace High School.
- Pupils who have a parent who was a pupil of The Wallace High School.
- All other pupils.
Pre-Prep
- Pupils who have a brother or sister enrolled in the Preparatory Department.
- Pupils whose twin or triplet sibling(s) has (have) been admitted.
- Pupils whose parent(s) is/are currently in permanent employment in The Wallace High School.
- Pupils who have a brother or sister who attend The Wallace High School.
- Pupils who have a parent who was a pupil of The Wallace High School.
- All other pupils.
Admission Criteria throughout the year
The Trustees welcome applications throughout the year from families who wish to transfer from another school.
The following procedures are followed in this instance
- Prospective parents and children are invited in for a Walk-a-Round and interview with the Head of Preparatory Department
- An application form (available upon request or from the Preparatory Department website) should be submitted and returned to school along with supporting educational evidence (school reports, examination scores etc.)
- Prospective pupils are invited in for a Trial Day which may include an examination in Numeracy and Literacy
