P5-7 (Ages 9-11)

In Key Stage 2 pupils become accustomed to moving around school making particular use of the Science Laboratories, Home Economics, Gymnasium and ICT suites.  

Key Stage 2 children continue to develop independent learning strategies and prepare for transition to Post-Primary Education.  Specific support for testing arrangements are provided at parental request. Our academic standards are recognised as being exceptionally high.  The Prep Department is the natural route of progression to The Wallace High School with an average of 92% of P7 pupils moving on to a grammar school.

Young Enterprise is a highlight of P7 helping pupils run a real business, building skills like teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and financial management. By turning ideas into products or services, they gain experience in marketing, sales, and customer relations. These practical skills prepare them for the workplace, bridging the gap between education and real-world careers.
